AI fitness coaching with Codex

Codex reads and writes your Memory.fit from the CLI, the IDE or the desktop app. Connect Memory.fit once and Codex coaches you from your real training, fueling and recovery.

Memory.fit works with the AI you already use. It isn't a coaching app, and it doesn't connect to one.

Developer setup

Coaching

What can Codex do with Memory.fit?

Read your real data

Codex can pull your workouts, sleep, daily metrics, trends and Fuel Score as tool calls.

Build your own dashboards

Chart a season of long rides, weekly volume or carbs per hour without exporting a single file.

Write plans back

Sessions, week intent, meal plans and fueling timelines written by code show up in the Memory.fit app.

Fueling from the engine

Ask for a session fuel plan and get targets from Memory.fit's sports-science engine, not a guess.

Log in bulk

Import meals or weigh-ins from another tool, each one marked with who logged it and how.

Scoped and revocable

Your key carries only the permissions you chose. Revoke it in the app and it stops working at once.

Try it

What can I ask Codex?

Build a dashboard

“Build me a page that charts my weekly bike hours and average carbs per hour over the last 12 weeks.”

Find a pattern

“Compare my sleep with my next-day session quality over the last two months. Anything I should change?”

Import history

“Read this CSV of last year's weigh-ins and log each one to Memory.fit.”

Script the week

“Write a script that plans next week's sessions from my race date and saves them to Memory.fit.”

About Codex

What is Codex?

Codex is OpenAI's coding agent, in the CLI, your IDE and the desktop app. Connect Memory.fit and it reads and writes your training data as it builds.

What is Memory.fit?

Memory.fit is the data and memory layer for the AI you already use. It connects Apple Health, Withings and TrainingPeaks (and shows Strava in the app), keeps your goals, plans and fueling, and shows it all in the Memory.fit app. Your AI does the talking; Memory.fit does the remembering.

Is my data safe?

Stored in the EU and encrypted. You choose what Codex may change, every action shows in your feed, and you can disconnect it in one tap.

Something not working?

  • Unauthorized or 401. The key was mistyped or revoked. Create a new one in the Memory.fit app and paste it again.
  • Too many calls. Each connection has an hourly limit. Wait for the time Memory.fit gives you and try again.
  • Codex doesn't use Memory.fit. Mention Memory.fit in your message ("check Memory.fit", "use my Memory.fit data"), or switch the connector on for the chat if Codex asks.
  • The numbers look old. Memory.fit shows what your apps have synced. Open your watch's app and Apple Health once, then check Settings → Health data in the Memory.fit app.

Questions

Codex and Memory.fit, in short.

  • 3 steps: In the Memory.fit app, open Settings → AI agents → Codex and create your key. Add the block to ~/.codex/config.toml (shared by the CLI, IDE and app). Restart Codex; run /mcp to check Memory.fit is there.

  • No. Codex is the coach. Memory.fit gives it your training data, your plans, your fueling and a lasting memory of you, and shows it all in the Memory.fit app.

  • Your workouts, sleep, daily metrics, fuel log, goals and plans. You choose what it can change: reading is always on, changing your plan is opt-in.

  • Only if you allow it. Every change shows in the app with Codex's reason, and you can undo it in one tap.

  • Memory.fit is $9 a month or $69 a year, with 7 days free.

  • Garmin, COROS, Polar, Suunto, Wahoo, WHOOP, Oura, Withings, Apple Health, Health Connect, intervals.icu and TrainingPeaks connect directly. Nutrition apps like MyFitnessPal and Cronometer arrive through Apple Health and Health Connect. Strava shows inside the Memory.fit app only, because Strava doesn't allow its data in AI tools.

  • Yes. Connect as many as you like. They read and write the same memory, so nothing is lost when you switch.

  • In the Memory.fit app, open Settings → AI agents → Codex and tap Disconnect. Access stops immediately.
