Connect Wahoo to ChatGPT

Yes. Connect Wahoo in the Memory.fit app, add one Memory.fit address to ChatGPT, and ChatGPT reads your rides and runs, power, and heart rate.

ChatGPT can also plan structured sessions, and Memory.fit sends them to your Wahoo.

What ChatGPT needs: on a computer, about two minutes.

What it reads

What ChatGPT reads from Wahoo

Directly from Wahoo: you sign in with Wahoo in the Memory.fit app.

The first read goes 90 days back.

  • Rides and runs
  • Power
  • Heart rate
  • Cadence
  • Training load (TSS) from your head unit
  • Your FTP, offered in Training zones

What it can do

What ChatGPT can do with it

Plans written back
Yes. ChatGPT plans your week, fuels your long sessions and writes it all back to Memory.fit.
Workouts sent to your Wahoo
Yes. Once ChatGPT plans a structured session, Memory.fit sends it to your Wahoo. Up to 28 days ahead on your calendar and on the head unit from six days before. A session your AI moves or changes is updated in place, and one it removes is deleted.
Meal photos
Yes. Send ChatGPT a photo of your meal: it logs the meal and can pass the photo itself to Memory.fit, so it saves with the entry.
Scheduled check-ins
In part. ChatGPT can schedule tasks, but OpenAI does not say a scheduled task can use a custom connector like Memory.fit. Try it once.
Where it runs
The web, desktop and phone apps. Adding Memory.fit needs chatgpt.com on a computer.
Good to know
Memory.fit reads each ride's own file from Wahoo, so ChatGPT sees your power, normalized power and cadence through the ride, not only its totals. Wahoo has no ChatGPT connection of its own.

Try it

Ask ChatGPT about your Wahoo data

“Read my rides from Wahoo for the last six weeks and tell me how my power is trending.”

ChatGPTExample
Up. On rides over an hour your average power went from 196 to 212 W in six weeks, and on your two longest rides your normalized power rose from 221 to 234 W at about the same heart rate.

“How did yesterday's ride on my ELEMNT go against the plan, step by step?”

“Put a 2 x 20 min threshold ride on my Wahoo for Thursday at my FTP.”

ChatGPTExample
Done. Thursday: 15 min warm-up, 2 × 20 min at 255 to 268 W with 5 min easy between, 10 min cool-down. It’s on your Wahoo.

Limits

Limits, said plainly

  • Memory.fit connects to Wahoo directly: your last 90 days come in, then each ride and run as your Wahoo syncs.
  • Your Wahoo FTP is offered in the app's Training zones and never replaces yours by itself.
  • Disconnecting Wahoo also removes the upcoming sessions Memory.fit put on your Wahoo calendar.
  • Wahoo doesn't share workouts recorded in other apps, so a KICKR ride in Zwift or another app never reaches Memory.fit through Wahoo. Connect intervals.icu for those.
  • The first read goes 90 days back.
  • Your AI's own subscription is separate from Memory.fit's.

Questions

Wahoo in ChatGPT, in short.

  • Not from Wahoo. Memory.fit is a hosted MCP server: connect Wahoo in the Memory.fit app, add one Memory.fit address to ChatGPT, and ChatGPT reads it.

  • Memory.fit is $9 a month or $69 a year, with 7 days free, for every device and every AI you connect. ChatGPT has its own requirements: on a computer, about two minutes.

  • Memory.fit works in every country, and ChatGPT's requirements name no region.

  • Yes. Once ChatGPT plans a structured session, Memory.fit sends it to your Wahoo. Up to 28 days ahead on your calendar and on the head unit from six days before. A session your AI moves or changes is updated in place, and one it removes is deleted.

  • Not the first time. Adding a custom MCP server needs chatgpt.com in a browser on a computer, and takes about two minutes. In the Memory.fit app, Settings › AI agents › ChatGPT › Send it to my computer sends you these steps.

  • Your recent ones. Memory.fit brings in up to 90 days when you connect Wahoo, and every new ride and run arrives as your Wahoo syncs.
