Connect Apple Watch to Claude

Soon. It needs the Memory.fit iPhone app, which is coming soon. Once it is out, connect Apple Watch there, add one Memory.fit address to Claude, and Claude reads your workouts, sleep and sleep stages, HRV and resting heart rate.

Claude can also write your plans back to Memory.fit, where you see them in the app.

What Claude needs: any plan, about a minute.

What it reads

What Claude reads from Apple Watch

Through Apple Health on your iPhone: the Memory.fit iPhone app reads what your watch records, and puts the sessions your AI plans in the Workout app.

The first sync reads up to 90 days back.

  • Workouts with heart rate, pace and power
  • Sleep and sleep stages
  • HRV and resting heart rate
  • VO2 max and steps

Only what your watch saves to Apple Health comes through.

What it can do

What Claude can do with it

Plans written back
Yes. Claude writes your plans back to Memory.fit, and asks you before it replaces or removes something you have.
Meal photos
In part. Claude sees your meal photo and logs the meal, but can't hand the photo itself to Memory.fit unless it can run code with internet access.
Scheduled check-ins
Yes. On Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise, Claude runs scheduled tasks in the cloud, and they use your connectors.
Where it runs
claude.ai, the desktop app and your phone. New connectors are added on the web or desktop, then work in the phone app too.

The catch
It reads your watch's data from Apple Health, for Claude alone, and it can't put a session in your watch's Workout app.

Apple Watch in Claude, anywhere

Try it

Ask Claude about your Apple Watch data

“Read my Apple Watch runs from the last six weeks and my sleep, and tell me if I'm ready to build.”

Uses:get_workoutsget_sleepget_trends

“How have my resting heart rate and VO2 max moved over the last two months?”

ClaudeExample
Both moved the right way. Your resting heart rate went from 54 to 51 bpm, and your watch's VO2 max estimate from 47 to 49, rising most in the weeks with a long run.

Uses:get_daily_metricsget_trends

“Build a 5 x 4 min tempo run for Thursday at my threshold pace and put it on my Apple Watch.”

ClaudeExample
Thursday: 15 min easy, then 5 x 4 min at 4:20 /km with 2 min jogs, and 10 min easy to finish. Once you open Memory.fit on your iPhone, it's in the Workout app with a pace alert for each step.

Limits

Limits, said plainly

  • Only what your watch writes to Apple Health comes through.
  • Sessions reach your watch on iOS 17 or later; swims need iOS 18.
  • Memory.fit keeps the next 7 days on your watch, brought up to date when you open the app.
  • Your AI's own subscription is separate from Memory.fit's.
  • The first sync reads up to 90 days back.

Questions

Apple Watch in Claude, in short.

  • Not from Apple. The nearest is Claude's Apple Health link, from Anthropic: US only. Claude Pro, Max or Ultra, a beta in Claude's iPhone app. It reads your watch's data from Apple Health, for Claude alone, and it can't put a session in your watch's Workout app. Memory.fit is another route, a hosted MCP server: Apple Watch shares with Apple Health, the Memory.fit app reads it, and Claude reads it through one Memory.fit address.

  • Memory.fit is $9 a month or $69 a year, with 7 days free, for every device and every AI you connect. Claude has its own requirements: any plan, about a minute.

  • Memory.fit works in every country, and Claude's requirements name no region.

  • Claude gets only the permissions you allow, every change shows in the Memory.fit app with who made it, and you can disconnect Claude or Apple Watch at any time.

  • Not the first time. Claude adds new connectors on claude.ai or in the desktop app. After that, Memory.fit works in the Claude phone app too.

  • On your watch, in the Workout app. The next time you open the Memory.fit iPhone app, it puts the session there with its steps and an alert for each one, and you start it from there.

Your next chapter starts with everything you've learned.
